Anaheim Transit – Anaheim sits at the crossroads of several major Southern California freeways, which makes driving the default way most visitors get around once they arrive. Interstate 5 runs directly through the city and past the Disneyland Resort, while State Route 57 and State Route 22 intersect nearby, giving quick access to the wider Orange County area. John Wayne Airport, about 15 miles south in Santa Ana, and Long Beach Airport, roughly 20 miles west, are the two closest commercial airports, with Los Angeles International sitting about 35 miles northwest depending on traffic. Locally, the Anaheim Resort Transportation system, known as ART, runs shuttle buses connecting area hotels to the theme parks and the Anaheim Convention Center, a popular option for visitors who want to avoid parking fees. The Orange County Transportation Authority operates the broader countywide bus network, with several routes converging near the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, which also serves Amtrak and Metrolink commuter rail. Within the Disneyland Resort district and the Anaheim Packing District, walking is easy and often preferred, but reaching neighborhoods further from the resort corridor generally requires a car or rideshare.
